Bike Path Changes on Nicor Easement

Bike Path Update

Restoration of the bike path on the Nicor easement is underway. The portion of the path between Cambridge Lakes Dr and Tyler Creek to the southeast is being relocated to the other side of the easement.  Due to the placement of the larger gas main that was installed last year, the bike path had to be relocated closer to the townhomes than was originally anticipated.  As this easement is the property of Nicor, and Nicor is replacing the path free of charge to our residents, the Village has had little objection.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause residents in the area.  We understand the privacy issues of property owners, but also value the path as a Village-wide asset.  Without the help of Nicor, the path through the easement would not exist in this location.
